Electronics and Embedded C

As someone who studied Electrical Engineering I got my first taste of design and coding by designing electronic circuits and programming Microcontrollers.

Full Stack Web Developer

As a full stack web developer I have experience working with HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. I have built simple HTML websites as well as complex web apps.

MQL4 and MQL5 Developer

MQL4/MQL5 is a powerful language for coding Expert Advisors and Indicators in Metatrader 4 and Metatrader 5. I taught myself this language to test my ability to learn a new language.

How it all started and how it's going.

2009-2012

Humble Beginnings

I studied and completed my National Diploma in Electrical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology. After which I did my experiential training at Edu Prep where I expanded my knowledge in Embedded C and PCB design and at MTN where I worked as an SMC Technician.
2013-2014

Learning and Expanding

During my experiential training at Edu Prep I discovered my love for coding and software development. At that time I decided to pursue a career in web development because for the amazing possibilities the internet presented. I then spent 2013 and 2014 learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ultimately PHP (my first love) from various internet resources such as W3 Schools.
2015-2017

Transition to Application

At the beginning of 2015 I started working as a freelance web developer, starting with very simple HTML and CSS only websites, and then gradually finding clients who needed websites that required the use of javascript/jquery and ultimately PHP.
2017-2022

Joining a Team

In mid 2017 I was hired as a Junior Full Stack Web Developer at Sebocom Group in their digital marketing and software development division. I was given the oppotunitiy to work on small and large projects for the company. I also led the development of Jwenn, which was the companies online invoicing platform which was used extensively by the construction arm of the company. When the company moved into developing trading software for Ctrader, Metatrader 4 and Metatrader 5, I worked on developing indicators and I was also on a team that developed a trade management tool.
